I had the pleasure of taking these beautiful and talented lady's photos earlier this year, and they absolutely killed it. BONUS-I got to listen to them play all over RiNo! Vivace String Quartet was established in 2018 and is based in Denver. Classically trained musicians with Performance Degrees have extensive experience with various genres of music. TALIA-VIOLINIST Founder Talia Vlieger has been playing and performing as a violinist for nearly twenty years. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance from Western Washington University. She has performed in a wide variety of places and settings - from Seattle to San Francisco to Hawaii and all over Colorado. Her most notable performances have been with the Transiberian Orchestra, Little River Band, and a recent debut at Red Rocks with her indie band, Morning Bear. She performs regularly with classical crossover quartet Spinphony, Arioso Strings trio, Premium Diesel country band, and subs with various symphonies. Talia is the Head of the Strings Department at Avanti Music Academy and cherishes the gift of being a private violin instructor. BRITTANY-VIOLINIST Brittany Hensley is a violinist in Denver, Colorado who enjoys performing and teaching. She has been playing violin since the age of six and holds a Bachelor of Music degree and Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of South Florida. She has a diverse performing background including performances with Michael Bublé, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the Ten Tenors, and more. In 2013, she co-founded the BrittZim Duo with Mary-Cathryn Zimmer (cello) and frequently performs with the duo. In 2014, Brittany played on set and setting's album "A Vivid Memory" along with Mary-Cathryn Zimmer. Recently, she has recorded and performed with the Denver band, Alright Alright. Brittany currently resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband and two cats KARLI-VIOLIST Karli has 15 years of experience as a classical violist! She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Viola Performance from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Music in String Pedagogy from the University of New Mexico. She performs with ensembles around Denver, including Palladio and Spinphony, the electric string quartet. Karli is a certified Suzuki teacher and the Lead String Instructor at Forte Academy of Music in Littleton, teaching privately and creating workshops for string students. LIZ-CELLIST Cellist Liz Gergel is a passionate and versatile performer. She can be found in the pit orchestra for the Colorado Ballet or playing with genre-bending Virtuosic Rock trio Electric Athena. Liz is excited to play with the Trans Siberian Orchestra this season in Denver and Colorado Springs. Liz subs with Boulder Philharmonic and Fort Collins Symphony. She recently played with the Roy Orbison Hologram show when it came through Denver, and is a regular performer at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort in Nathrop, CO. She maintains an active teaching studio and works for three local youth orchestra organizations. Liz earned a Master’s in Music Performance from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from the University of South Carolina, graduating summa cum laude from the Honors College. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, cycling and cooking. From Mozart to Ed Sheeran to the Beatles to Led Zeppelin, Vivace String Quartet's passion for music exceeds traditional borders. They are dedicated to creating the perfect setlist to add ambience and elegance to your unique event. The Vivace String Quartet plays for a wide variety of events, both private and public.
